| Hi, my name is Jay Huffman. I started this domain because I lost my mom last year. I don't ever want to forget her, or what she meant to me. I have taped videos of her. When I put one in the vcr to watch, my vcr destroyed it. This upset me greatly, as it would anyone. I decided I wanted the ability to make a movie on my pc. I wanted to take a video from a vcr or camcorder and turn it into a movie at the click of a mouse. I soon found that the avi movies I made were too large to store in my hard drive. I discovered that one can compress the video and audio in an mpeg1 format, make a 3 or 4 gig video file, and then turn it into a 4 or 500 mg file, losing little or no audio OR picture. The pages that follow will help you see that the next generation will be looking @ and remembering us on a compact monitor. If you too have videos or old pictures that are special to you, I believe I have the answer to keep them safe. I'll take your video and turn it into an mpeg1 video. I'll then write it onto a CD. Pictures may either be put on video or scanned and placed on a cd in a gif animation or avi movie. These can be watched like a movie, one picture @ a time. A video tape has a life of approximately 10 years, pictures obviously much longer. A cd can last 200 years if properly stored and taken care of. They can be placed in your cd player and viewed any time you like. Take a few moments and go through my site. You'll see that this can be the answer for you too! |
